Hello everyone. I'm seeking some help from someone who has possibly had this problem with their camera. I've owned a Sony DSC-W30 digital camera for a year now, and just recently, (a few weeks ago) the buttons are very sticky, and near impossible to press. The scene wheel does not click when moving from one scene mode to the next; it just slowly turns. The display button which enables you to see the photos you've taken doesn't click, it just slowly presses in like it needs to have an entire bottle of WD-40 poured onto it. The W and T do work if you press so hard you nearly break your finger, but the dial/thing you push just gets stuck in the position you pushed it in; it doesn't spring back to neutral.
I have not left it in the cold or spilled any drinks on it. This sounds like someone took the camera and very carefully put some superglue between the button creases, on the scene dial, and the W/T dial.
I am hesitant to take the camera apart, and I do not have any receipts or warranty papers, so I doubt Sony would accept fixing this.
Please help.
Thank you,
Julien
