Best Ultra-Compact

Hey guys, im new to the forums and a beginner with digital photography.

What i've been researching and looking for for a while is basically just a really good ultra-compact digital camera. Something preferrably that is good looking, slim, and can fit in a jeans pocket maybe because i want this to be a camera i can just whip out and take a quick good looking shot. Also a lot of the pictures im going to be taking will be inside of clubs like i'm taking a trip to vegas in august and i need to get something i can just whip out of my pocket and take a good pic in the dark club.

I just see so many of those ultra compacts out there and no one has great things to say about any of em.

any help would be greatly appreciated

I think that no one has great things to say about them because they aren't that great (they are great for what they are intended to be used for, snaps from something small and light)
None of them are going to get a great shot inside in the dark because the cameras are small the lens is small and the flash is small. Inside dark shots with flash are a failing of small cameras in general.

We have a Canon digital Ixus (the 2.1MP version so quite old) and it's pretty good at well lit stuff.

thanks a lot for the advice man, that camera looks excellent. Not sure if i'm ready to drop 800 on that sucker just yet but i will definitely go to some camera shops and look into it. Thanks again
