    Auto Focus on the Fritz

    Hey Everyone!
The family is having issues with their digital camera (not my area of expertise, I prefer film) and the AF is not working. It is a Sony Cybershot 5.0 MP, and we've had it for a few years. The last 30 or so pictures we've taken with it are really blurry, and we don't really have any idea how to correct the problem. Any help would be great, especially so my mum can take her holiday pictures.

    Thanks,

    Mara

It's funny how many things this will actually fix - try charging the battery and see if that helps it. I'm guessing this probably won't help here but it's easy enough to try. Check the settings to make sure it wasn't accidentally put into a manual focus mode (if it has one). If these don't do it, you'll probably have to send it in to Sony.

Re: Auto Focus on the Fritz

Thanks for the help. I'm going to pick up some new Ni-Cd batteries this weekend, and hopefully that will help. Otherwise, I already checked, and it is on auto, but the focus is still really bad. Does anyone know off hand if it will be expensive to send in?
