    Anyone used iphoto before?

Or have another similar lab you have used? John's boss is on the tourism commission here and I will be talking with her about a proposal for the commission. I am planning on taking some of historic places photos and using them for 4x6 notecards. This will be my first step to getting my name out there.

I found an ad for iphoto in one of my mags and they will do 4x6 prints for .25 cents. I just want to see if anyone has used them, or a similar lab they would recommend.

I've used mpix.com before, as have several others here. I'd definately recommend them, but have no experience with iPhoto.

Thanks for the info. I have looked at mpix, but looks like the only way they have for payment is credit card and I don't do them anymore. Maybe I will need to look around some more.

Hey thanks, Brent, you just made my day on that. Had not got around to them yet and now I can reduce my cost by .06 cents. Pretty good. I will have to check them out soon.

How low can you go?! Sometimes I use a local place that charges .18 per 4x6. It's actually a mini-lab at a grocery store but the quality is very good. They have a Fuji Frontier printer, and someone local to you probably has one as well. Another advantage to this is that they're in your hands quicker and no shipping charge.

I suppose that could be one more to thing to check out, anotherview. That grocery store would not happen to have been a Kroger would it? That would be real good since we do have one here. Oh well, something else for my to do list after work this evening.

I do. The only computer systems I've ever owned are macs. I love them. I have iphoto installed, and I love the easy access it gives me to my photos. (I just click on it in the finder, and the entire library is right there!) It's easy to find an image fast, then export for printing). I never print at home.

Last year I uploaded images for creating a photo book. It was intended as a family snapshot book. All I did was crop and resize, in iPhoto. I was extremelly pleased with the relults; and the family members who got their own books were just blown away by it. Probably the best gift I've ever given. (They even package the books in this really cool cardboard package!)

The quality of the reproduction of my imaages was great. (Based on comparing them to the images on my monitor, and a few prints that I had made at other labs.) They offered several options for covers etc. I went for the nice linen one. Worth every penny.

That's the extent of my iPhoto experience. But, as with all things Mac, it was a great one. A great experience.

And again, I love that my images get put right in to that IPhoto application.
