    2nd Lens for Nikon D70

I have a Nikon D70 and love it. I have only the lens that came with the camera (AF-S Nikkor 18-70mm). What would be a good 2nd lens for this camera? I shot pictures of a
B-17 taking off today, and the image looks more like a chicken hawk (very small image). What is the next logical step up in magnification in a digital lens for this camera? Any thoughts on this?

I would suggest a 70-300mm, Nikkor zoom. I purchaced the Tamron 70-300mm Micro lense, and it has been a good lense but the Nikkor zoom was less money. The only problem I had when I was shooting a horse show it was too long at times when I was in the arena. If you need low light this is not a good choice.

    Nikon D800, 50mm F1.4D AF, 16-35mm, 28-200mm & 70-300mm
