    20D firmware

    do I really need to up date my 20D with new firmware? and why you do . and how do I go get some. I did not know that till now. darn...

    It is a good idea to update firmware when it is available, but I usually wait a while and look for reactions to possible problems others might encounter by the upgrade.

    You get the firmware upgrade from the canon site of your choice, in your case www.canon.com and follow the links.

    You put the firmware upgrade on a CF card and usually start the camera up and it detects the firmware and you do the upgrade. If you look in the cameras manual it is usually well covered and easy to follow.

    Anway that is what I have usually done for my Canon camera upgrades of firmware.
