    Zeiss IKON 520 (6x4.5mm)

    Hi,All,
I have just acquired this camera...
It works fine. The shutter is perfect and the lens is good.
The 1:4.5/f7.5mm Novar lens is numbered 1318314.
An engraved badge which says 'Photo CAMBELL HAMBURG Optic' is riveted on the back and is probably the original supplier.
I wonder if anyone can throw any light on the cameras origin, please?
I have put one B/W 120 film through it with good results...
    Kind Regards,
    Michael.
PS: The Photos are in my gallery but I don't know how to add them into this post...

I moved this to the Film Forum as they may be of more help on a camera like this. I'd bet it's a 7.5cm (same as a 75mm) lens, and "cm" focal lengths haven't been used for many years. Still, a nice camera I'm sure.

    HI Michael, welcome to PR

The old Zeiss folders are great little cameras for starting off MF. They came in lots of different models with various lenses and formats ranging from 645 - 6x9. Here's a link that might help you some with the history of these:

I have a even older Zeiss Ikon folder, the 515/2. Mine takes 6x9 negatives. I just ran my first roll through it and it does an amazingly good job considering it was made in 1933. I'm about to post a thread of the results, feel free to have a look.
