    Thrift store find

I try and visit my three local thrift stores al least once a week. I've gotten tons of great deals from them on photographic equipment. Today I got an enlarger that I had always wanted. It did not have a lens but had everything else. I got a Beseler 23C II for thirty bucks. I will set this up as my B&W enlarger, and use my Minolta Mod III for color and special projects. This thing is a tank, I think I am going to have alot of fun setting this up.

Nice. I have to get back into my thrifting routine. I used to hit all the shops near me about once a week or so. You almost have to to find the good deals...

A 23CII for $30?!?! Nice find. Did you happen to get any holder, lenses, etc. with it too?

No lenses but the lensboard and jam nut are there as well as two filter holders and a 35mm neg holder. I will see if I can use my rokkor lenses on it, but I think I will just buy one or two for it. I am probably a month away from making any prints with it as I tend to be slow on these types of projects. It will fit in the closet over top of the minolta .
