The current issue of Photo Techniques has a news article on page 5 (sorry it isn't available on the website) that opens with a tag line about the story of film being replaced with digital photograpy using as example, Kodak.
A brief history of closings and business changes at Kodak along with comments and quotes by the new CEO, Antonio Perez constitute the majority of the article. Various anecdotes about the past 5 years of reorganization and the digital impact upon Kodak are included.
Kodak is really a distant third behind Canon and Sony in terms of the digital camera sales and the long term prospects will be challenging with some of the new giants emerging in the imaging industry.
This brief article is another interesting note in the continuing saga of the revolution in photography.
