Kodak Preparing to File for Chapter 11 Bankruptcy

They're hoping to sell some digital patents to raise funds to ward it off, but you have to ask yourself what good that will do once those funds are extinguished?

Yeah, I have been trying to stock up on Kodak every time I get paid. I ordered 12 rolls of Tmax 400 this pay period. I got a pretty good stock now.
I guess sooner or later I'll switch to Ilford.

Re: Kodak Preparing to File for Chapter 11 Bankruptcy

Do Not Panic! Chapter 11 is a chapter of the United States Bankruptcy Code, which permits reorganization under the bankruptcy laws of the United States. Companies can and have reorganized so lets stay positive!

A look at three major bankruptcies — Continental Airlines, Kmart and Fruit of the Loom — shows that outcomes can vary widely

Anyway, a bankruptcy filing would allow a third party with some common sense to see that the film division should be allowed to prosper independently of the toxic parts of the company (especially management). There's a chance that this new third party management could also drop the ball when it comes to managing the growing film division, but I don't see how it could be worse than continuing to let Perez and co. drive the bus into the ditch.

    Yup. Here's my article:

I don't shoot film anymore so I don't have much creative investment. However, Kodak is a symbol of so many things. I hope the reorganization works out.
