    Fuji Rangefinder coming soon!

Well, looks like the Fuji 6x7 rangefinder from PMA last year will coming to a camera store near you. The joint Fuji/Cosina venture will be available in Japan this month as the Fujifilm GF670 and is scheduled for release in Europe in May as the Voigtlander Bessa III 667!

Man, they didn't hold back on giving it a huge name did they? The Bessa's are some of the best regarded Voigtlanders. But it looks like it won't be cheap! 2,000 Euros = ~ $3,500! Yikes!

Nonetheless, very cool that there is actually a new film camera on the way!

It does sound steep but, if you start comparing it to the price of a new Hassie or Mamiya MF film outfit, the price isn't that bad.

Want a cheaper new film camera? Shen-Hao just released the PTB 45 (which is essentially a Chamonix knock-off without the carbon fiber) but, it can be yours for only $650  Of course that doesn't include lens or film holders.

    Re: Fuji Rangefinder coming soon!

My Fuji 645 died this past month. Sadly I won't replace it, but it will be missed.

This look like another Voigtlander being cross labeled by Fuji.

Fuji announced a couple days ago, that the release was being delayed -

    Fuji Announcement of GF670 postponement

I would like to see one out of curiosity as to the quality put into its manufacture or if it will be a one off.

A very interesting path for the folks at Voigt/Cosina/Fuji to take in this day of almost no new film cameras.
