    Fixer problem!

My problem is that I don't have any fixer!

I have had 4 rolls of film sitting here for months, maybe even over a year, and today I decided to develop them. I mixed up a fresh batch of developer, and poured it into the tank with my film only to realize that I don't have any fixer! I did find a bottle marked used fixer, so that's what I used. I know that bottle is very old. I'm guessing it dates back to my photo class in 2004. I used it, since it was all that I had, and the film seems OK. It's still drying so I'm curios to see if it changes at all.

The closest store that sells photo chemistry is at least an hour away, and I don't want to drive that far. Is there a way to make my own fixer with something I can get from the grocery store?

Hi Mike, not sure about any grocery store fixers but, you can always order some fixer and then refix your negatives when they arrive.

Thanks Aaron. I plan on ordering some fixer this week so I can finish up my MP career.
