I recently got permission to shoot with my grandfather's camera, which belongs to my mom now. It's an Agfa Box, from the 1930s. All mechanical, and still work, beautifully as I found out. Film used: Agfacolor Portrait 160 XPS
Nice images from an old box. Sometimes I think that the Purely Digital Only Crowd forgets that with a little work and effort you can get beautiful shots with film, witness the proper colors, the fine detail and focus. Well Done, with a fine old camera. I would have loved to see the looks on peoples face if they realized what you were doing.
Bill,

I have gone over to the dark side, no more film.

Thanks! Yes, I was getting some very odd looks as I was using the camera, but working for a college that has a large arts crowd, and a very good applied photography program, not all that uncommon.
I think you have a jewel of a box camera! Rare that they are still in that good of condition and that the lens is as compatible with modern film as this one seems!
How much manual control, if any, do you have over shutter and aperture?
Nice shots from and hope you will take the AGFA out again for a session or two!
