    B&W @ Night carried on...

    Hi all,

Just got back my roll of BW400CN with a stack of night shots on it. They look fantastic! (IMO :P)

I've posted them all up. One of them is in the critique forum as well. Feel free to pass comment as you see fit on the photo's too.

Sorry for the number of photo's, but I'm stoked with how they turned out.

    Cheers,

These look great! They're really sharp and exposures are good. How did you meter?

Thanks photophorous. I let the camera meter the shots. As this was my first attempt, I had no idea how it would go. In retrospect, I'll under expose by about half a stop as I had to adjust the brightness of some of these photo's as the lights were too bright.

I learned a fair bit from this, and hopefully I'll learn some more next time

I've processed my last roll of BW400CN. Some of my negatives were ruined by water being left on the negative

I've come to teh conclusion that my camera over exposes the shots as well. I need to learn how to meter properly. I have a copy of the ultimate exposure guide from the web. Does anyone use this? How else do you meter? Do you use a light meter?

    Thanks for looking!

Great looking photos. BW400CN seems to be the last refuge for those of us who lobe b/w but don't have darkroom access any longer.

Nice Danic, what camera and lens are you using? I have been meaning to get out some at night myself.

You don't need a full darkroom. Just a small developing tank, changing bag and a good scanner.
