    Rode VideoMic Help....

Hi, I've just purchased used rode videomic from ebay; its come with instructions;on several sites I saw it was possible to select 0,-10db;-20db inside the batt compartment. Nowhere in the instruction does it show this and I've gone thru with a magnifying glass and still can't see anything. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.:mad2:

    Re: Rode VideoMic Help....

This is just an educated guess but it could relate to two things:
1 the volume level of the mic. each setting could be louder than the other - if your camera has automatic gain control your probably wouldn't even notice the difference unless the sound source was extremely loud or quiet.
2 Wind or noise reduction. It could be three settings for reducing unwanted noise such as wind from the microphone. This one is easier to check as you will most likely hear the difference.
