Cool Nebie - Hi and Mini DV advice wanted...

    Hi,
Just signed up to the forum to ask some Q's. So HI!

Anyway, i've been after a small digital video camera for a little while now. I will only be using it for filming races and track days from inside my car, so i'm not looking to spend a lot of money really.

    Today i've been offered a 2nd hand Sony DCR-PC9E.

I understand i will need to use a Firewire card to upload videos to my PC with this camera?

What are peoples opinions on these cameras?

What is the 2nd hand value of one of these? it is in excellent condition...

    Thanks for your help.

I'm not sure about the used value on the cameras, but it appears to be a nice one. The specs are pretty nice.

    Enjoy your new toy.

the second hand value on a video camera is normally a bit less (maybe $100 or so) than half the value of the nearest new equivalent.

Well i have decided to buy it.. asked a few mates that know about vid cameras and they said i should bite his arm off for the money he was asking. Managed to knock a further £20 off too - so i'm happy

This is the kind of stuff i will be doing with it 9.4Mb WMV file - Right click 'save as' please

This was taken with a friends camera last year - sorry about the high compression/low quality
