Getting 520 lines resolution in Sony DVD201

I bought a Sony DCR-DVD201 handycam with 1.07MP CCD. When shooting my scenes, all I got is 704x480 movies. I've tried to change to HQ (high quality) mode, but the result is the same as in SP mode.

Does anyone know how to change to 520 lines and achieve a better resolution?

Re: Getting 520 lines resolution in Sony DVD201

You're already getting it. 520 lines is a broadcast measurement. It has nothing to do with lines per inch. It is actually lines per milimeter at center on a calibrated chart. In plain digital speak, the best a regular NTSC signal can hope for is 720 x 480 DPI. Your chip is capable of shooting it. The MPEG-2 compression of the DVD is what lowers the apparent visual quality.
