    Welcome Uwe...

Asylum Steve here. I moderate the Lighting Forum. Good to have you on board...

I work as a commercial fashion and portrait photographer and the majority of my workflow now is with the Canon 10D DSLR. I look forward to sharing ideas with you as well as throwing in my two cents from time to time to try to help others.

With the flood of DSLRs on the market, many in ther hands of first time users, it's at the point where there's an almost overwhelming amount of information to process just to be able to shoot and make quality prints or web images.

I'm sure this forum will be a big help...

    -Steve

Question Just an easy little question :)

    Hi Uwe,

It is nice to see you as a moderator of this forum. So you don't feel neglected, let me ask you something

What should I do to make my Metz MZ53 flash equipped with a 3802 M2 adapter work in an e-TTL mode with Canon 1D MarkII? It was a no-brainer with 10D, but here all I can do is just switch it to the A-mode. This is not how it is supposed to be, is it?
    Thanks!
    Irakly

Frog, Uwe hasn't been here in quite some time I sort of absorbed this forum's moderation as well a few months back.

And a fine job you've done sir!

Frog, the closest thing in english would be 'oova'. oo as in food or moon. It's not precise, but very close.

Re: Welcome to the Digital SLR forum

I'm using my point and shoot Kodak z710,and even bought extra lenses for it ,but when you put a 3.5X lens on a 10x built in zoom Its an over kill, still kinda neat to fool around with. It has manual settings so I have tried quite a few different things . I also got a 0.45X wide lens ,so far I'm not to sure what it's suposed to do . I want a panorama view of the mountains from my house .( iI live in Calgary)

Well I'm just saying hi . Oh yeah I joined quite a few months ago ,but am pretty sure I'm going to redeem my airmiles for a dslr camera , I have choices of low end Canon ,Nikon,a sony, and one Pentax ,they all sell from about $425.00 to $775.00 but no cost to me ..
