    Upgrade

I am thinking of up grading from my Sony A100 purchased 6 years ago to say either an A55 or A33 or even A390.

I enjoy macro photography and capturing my grandchildren.

Any thoughts on this matter would be appreciated.

    Regards
    Annette

    Re: Upgrade

Sony's A580 and A55/A33 are excellent for macros, with extremely high resolution (which benefits macro's especially), tiltable LCD and live view - it will certainly be a more pleasant macro shooting experience. Photographing grandchildren could also benefit with the faster AF of the newer Sony's. If video is an important feature to you, a strong tilt towards the A55/33. Look into the interface of an EVF as opposed to an OVF, as there are benefits and drawbacks. The A55/33 use EVF instead of OVF.
