Smile Studio flash with NikonD70or D100?

    Hi,
I'm new here and don't understand everything, though I love the forums.
I have a Nikon D70 and a SB800 speedlight. I feel that the speedlight might not have enough power for using an umbrella or something similar with it. I was wondering if any of you are using the larger studio flashes with the D70 or D100 or other digital SLRs? If you are what would you recommend?
    Thanks for any help.

Check out the studio lighting forum. AssylumSteve and company can really help you out.

    Hi,
Thanks for answering. I did post the same question (though it was much longer) on the Studio Lighting forum a few days ago and AssylumSteve and company never commented. I probably gave them too much info or something. That's why I came to this forum.

    Hi
French speaking sorry for my english
    Difficult question there...
There are many system out there
If you want to shoot on location i would suggest somme 800 watt or 1200 watt bowen monobloc flahs head ... only problem with them is relayability! got to bee real smoot with them.Or you could chose a speedotron portable powerpack with some good old 102 flahs head ( more expensive but toff reliable )

If you do not plan to move a lot, then a speedotron cx 2400 or 1200 watt with 102 flash head are about your best bet ... cheaper than most other system and very toff and reliable

Just a note all of this stuff is very expensive and it is ussuly possible to rent these equipment at a real pro photo store if you live in a fair size city !
