Now i cant decide weather or not to go for the d90 or try to get the d80 offline.

There are sure to be some new D80s on line or you can get a refurbished one. I plan on my next camera being a refurb from K&H or Cameta or another reliable dealer.
You might want to look in our dealer feedback forum at the reliable dealers and ones to avoid sticky.

Heres a better idea - go with Sony or Canon! ;) :P

I kid, I kid... No, stick with first party batteries. If you want it as a rare use backup, then the cheap ones can suffice, but if you want to cycle through them - definitely stick with name brand.

I would definitely go for the 50mm f/1.8, very very much so. Normally I would ask how you use it, but A) that 50mm f/1.8 is really good, and its a perfect starter, and B) any 70-300 under or around $100 is junk. For telephoto zooms you need to be much pickier than just grabbing the first cheap wide zoom you find. The market is flooded with crappy telephoto zooms, and you need to be very selective about which telephoto zoom you make your own. Or, just deal with soft edges, distortion, aberration, slow speed and poo-color (pardon the french).

In my opinion. I wan't D90. You can look reviews from any websites. D90 is a great digital camera.

I would recommend to go for D90 which is better. I bought D80 but still want D90
