Hundreds of naturally forgotten graves for slotxo centuries have been re-discovered in Irish cemeteries - with the help of the natural world itself.

Goats and sheep were enlisted to clear a cluttered cemetery beside St Matthew's Church in Temple Breeze in Cork County.

They are helping to bring forgotten history back to the fore, said Audrey Buckley, one of the conservation project volunteers.

More than 500 graves thought to be lost have been restored from the wasteland Grave restoration work began in the summer of 2020 as

part of our Templebreedy Save Steeple conservation program. We are trying to bring back our history. Let people connect with forgotten ancestors, Ms Buckley said.
