    Lens Help

I am strongly considering getting a 300D since i dont think i need all the features that i would get with the 10D, but i think i will strongly like the 300D's image quality and good features.

So now down to my question. I will difinently buy the 300D kit (so i will get the 18-55 EF-S lens that it comes with). But what about a good Zoom Lens?

I dont need any super unbelievable zoom, but i would like some thing over the 18-55 that the camera comes with.

I am planning to use a Zoom lens for outdoor/wildlife photography.
I do have a little bit of a limited budget so the cheaper the price on the lens the better. Again, i dont need anything that is a huge zoom, just something in addition to the 18-55 the camera comes with. I have an old minolta 35mm 28-126 lens that i like the zoom on but i think maybe i would need just a little more zoom

So i guess i am just asking where i should start and if you have any good ideas on what i should get as far as what lens?

I own the 300D and find it to be a very good camera for the money spent.
I have shot about 6300+ shots in the last 6months or so with no problems at all.

I shoot horse shows, car races and a few landscapes.

My favorite lens for many of these shots is the Canon 28/135 IS USM.
it does very good overall and won't break your bank account.

Most of my samples at www.jpferguson.com are with this lens/camera combo.

    Good shooting !!
A couple of 20D's and some good glass

Cool ditto on the 28-135 IS lens

It's a very sharp prosumer level lens and a bargain for the money. However, the 10D prices are dropping since the advent of the 20D. Might be worth considering for a few hundred dollars more. Just my $0.02
