    D70 menu malfunction?

I have not been able to access the menu or the playback feature on my D70. Usually when you click/ touch those buttons, the LCD screen display lights up. But nothing have been happening. It doesn't matter which button I try. Menu, playback, etc. The battery is full, but I can't get it to work. Maybe there is a "light switch" somewhere that I turned off? I don't know.

The problem started when I tried to to format my memory card on the camera. It flashed and showed me the 1.1k, but does not reset to zero or gives me a whole number like it normally does.

    Can someone help? Thanks.

    Re: D70 menu malfunction?

Have you tried accessing the menus without a card in the camera?

Also when you turn the camera on, does the little green light where the CF card reader is flash on & off when the camera is turned on?

The menu does cannot be accessed...with and without the memory card. No green light flashing.

If you have the manual handy (if not you can get it off of Nikon's site) you should try the two-button reset. If that doesn't work, sounds like its gonna take a ride on the brown truck to Nikon.
