Buy different kinds of film and explore! Have the developer only give you CDs to save money and you can have the negatives to make into prints once get the hang of it and want copies of them. Your first few rolls will probably better avoid printing them first until you really feel like you know what you're doing. I wasted too much money last year printing every roll.
