Hi,
I've been looking for a thin compact camera to get for my wife for Christmas, something she can throw in the handbag and just use as a convenient point-and-shoot. I know the size of the camera body is important to her so I've been trying to look at the really thin range.
The problem is, apart from one camera (Casio Exilim S880), they seem to have all but disappeared from the market. I have a friend who has a very acceptable (in terms of thickness) Sony DSC T7 whose body is about 15 - 16mm (the camera not the friend ), but this is a 2005 camera as far as I can see and all the new Sonys seem to be 20mm+. The Casio has a nice 17mm thickness but as I say this is the only one I can find.
I'd like to be able to choose from a few in the same sort of market, so as to not base my decision entirely on this one factor, i.e. other qualities are obviously important too, even in a simple point-and-shoot.
Does anyone know of any other thin compact cameras? Any recommendations would be appreciated.
cheers,
Ian
