    When to use hue adjustments?

My new camera (Nikon D80) has an in-camera option to adjust the hue +/-9 degrees. I played around with it a bit, but I can't figure out when I would use it? Rotating the hue is different than white balancing right? From what I understand, white balancing makes a few colors lighter or darker, whereas the hue adjustment changes all colors. So when would I adjust the hue while taking a photo?

White balance corrects for the color temperature and is applied in a curve.

Hue boils down to the overall color. If you are getting pictures that are too blue, you could "dial it out" by adjusting the hue. I don't know why the camera itself would have this control as hue adjustments are easily, and more precisely, done in software.
