    Upset!

Researching and researching with no results is starting to make me angry. I research one camera with positive reviews from people, only to find another review (for example CNET) to change my mind or even PCWorld.
Customers where happy with the image quality on the Kodak P850, than I read elsewhere about the not so great image quality. Then there where negative comments on the Panasonic FZ5, AAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!
Thanks for putting up with me for so long. Feel a bit better to get that out LOL.

There really is no "perfect' camera. Though I have returned to 100% film use after a dabble with digital, I found that most of the cameras in the class you are researching will give you very similar quality images. The tough choices would be what features that you feel you might need, size/weight, and zoom length. Try www.dpreview.com and their forums, although you will probably find the same thing happening there with some preferring one brand over another, etc., etc. Good luck with your search.

Just buy one and use it and you will find out which features are most important to you. They will all take good photos in general but you need to find out which limitations you bump up against for when you upgrade in a couple years. The only way you will really find out is by shooting...not by reading.

First, don't bother with computer sites or magazines, they have no clue about photography.

Although photographers get heated when discussing the pros and cons of specific cameras, the vast majorty of snapshooters couldn't tell the difference between most of the main brands. In fact, most people never really print more than 4x6 regardless of their plans. All these cameras do a good job with that.

Buy the one that feels best to you and has the controls where you think they should be. In your price range, they will all be excellent.
