    Trouble with software installation. 40D

I have the Canon 40D as an upgrade from my XTi. I am trying to install the software onto my computer and I've gotten an error message. It says that path

    C:\WINDOWS\Downloaded Installations\{54C0D94A-F467-4ABC-9D02-6E58748668D4}\i Tunes.msi

Could not be found. It wants me to verify that I have access to this location and try again or find the installation package i Tunes.msi in a folder from which I can install the product i Tunes.

Well, I have i Tunes on my computer, but in all the folders on my C drive, there is no i Tunes.msi. It won't install the EOS Utility until I have it and I don't know what to do with it.

    Anyone have any suggestions?

That is very odd. Why would 40D software require iTunes?

First, read the README file (or similiar) on the CD. See if it really requires iTunes. If it does, let us know what it says about this.

Second, use a registry cleaner to weed out bad entries. I wonder if the entry number is inadvertently the same. I use "Claen My PC REgistry" which works well.

Try these and let me know.
