    tripod with a monopod

    does anyone know of a tripod that has a monopod also?

    What type of application are you looking to do with it?

    How about a monopod with detachable legs on it, something like this.

    I was at a local camera shop last week and saw a monopod with a tripod.

    It was actually a walking stick too. The bottom opened into 3 legs by unwrapping the velcro.

    Hand a handstrap too. Not sure how tough a walking hiking stick it would be.

    If you're just looking for a small, mobile option, the QuikPod is a great alternative. It has a small monopod about the size of your forearm and a screw in tripod attachment.
