Tamron Designation for Minolta Lens

Hello Everybody,

I just joined the list and am just starting to learn to do more than "point n shoot". So of course I'll start with a question 8^)
I bought a KM 5D and need lens help. When a Tamron lens is "for Minolta-AF", is that synonymous with Maxxum.

Thanks, I was panicking a little. I just bought a Tamron 200-400 LD IF and noticed afterwords that "Maxxum/Dynax" was nowhere in the text, just for Minolta AF.
