Sub-Compact or Compact Camera w Manual Controls

    Hello,

I was wondering if anybody could recommend a small camera that has a manual mode for setting shutter and aperature? I basically want a camera to take with me bicycling to get some nice scene and sunset pictures, as well as a few portraits and self-portraits. I had my eye on the Canon SD940 and the SD780, but what sort of bothers me is that there are no manual controls. While I don't use these settings about 75% of the time, they can come in very handy, especially when doing scene shots. I would be willing to sacrifice a little bit of size for some more control over a camera, as well as a bit sharper image. My budget can go up to about $325, but that is at the very high end.

They may not be as small as you want, but you might look at the SX120 IS
and the SX210 IS. They both have manual mode(s), but my problem with them
is they have no viewfinder, only an LCD screen.

Thanks. The SX210 is actually the exact camera that I have been researching earlier today. Do you know if the image quality would be considerably better than the SD940?

I do not know much about the SD series, because I prefer to stick to those that use "AA"
batteries. I do have the SX10 IS, and I use to use the SX3 IS, and the SX210 IS looks like
a kid brother to those. My wife and daughter have had several of the A series, and even
    those took great pictures.
