    Sony Cybershot W230--Uploading to PC

Sorry, if this is a dumb question. This is a new camera for me. In uploading my pictures to my PC, I'm a little confused. I hooked up the USB cable that came with the camera. (I had already downloaded the sony software). Aren't the pictures supposed to show up on the LCD screen on the camera. They didn't. It just showed "USB Mode, Mass Storage, Memory Stick." Pictures actually did upload to the PC but I thought they would show on the camera so you could select what you wanted uploaded.
    Please advise. Thanks.

Nope, I wouldn't expect them to show on the screen.
If you're printing directly from the camera, then I would expect to be able to choose.

To save battery, and wear on the camera connection, I don't use my cameras that way.
I have a multi-function card reader that can read any memory card, and put that in the USB.
Then my cards appear as another disk drive (G: on my PC)and I can drag and drop from there.

It is far quicker than using the camera.

Paul, I guess I was wrong that the photos would show up when the USB cable is hooked up.
Good idea the way you upload. Maybe I'll get a card reader and do the same.
    Thanks for your reply
