Hi, guys,

This is my first post in this website.
I come here for learning basic knowledge about DSC. I don't know which forum should I chose. Because here is "General" forum, so I think here is the right place for my first post.

I have been using DSC for long time, but still a newbie of photograph. Which forum is the best place in this website for user like me who will post some threads like: "what is the exact meaning of "ISO" for digital camera? what is the difference between ISO in digital camera and in conventional film based camera?" ?

As far as metering goes, ISO is identical between film and digital cameras. This place is a good place for your question. ISO is simply a number designating an exact sensitivity to light. The lower the number, the less sensitive, the higher the more sensitive. Low ISO will give the best color and detail reproduction, high ISO offers faster speed shooting, the variable is the light availability in the environment.
