    Samsung Digimax s500 problem

Hello, Can anyone help me out with this? I purchased from a seller on EBay a Samsung Digimax s500. The seller said that the only thing wrong with it was the zoom didn't work. So I bought it. It came the other day. I put some double AA batteries in it and it worked great. Even the zoom. However after a few moments it turned off. I took the batteries out, reinserted them and it turned back on. This happened for a few more times. Now all it does is blink and beep three times. The lens doesn't retract or anything. I thought it might be the batteries. I had some cheap ones in it. So I bought lithiums but I have nothing.
    Does anyone have a clue?

    Thanks!

Electronics like digital cameras are so complicated that it's really hard to judge what might be wrong with them. You did the right thing trying another set of batteries. That's about all you can do. One other thing you might try is another memory card, and/or reformatting the card in the camera. It doesn't seem like it should make a difference, but it's worth a try.

    Sorry...

Thanks John, My nephew said that the beeps I hear might mean something to the tech support at Samsung. So I will call them and see if they have a quick fix.
