I have spent weeks looking for a good semi-advanced to advanced point and shoot camera, but the problems with the top-rated cameras I have been looking at, is the reviews say "Mixed Photo Quality" or "Soft Photos". Are they any current cameras that people can definitely say that 9 out of 10 times (Maybe not that good but a man can dream...) will produce a good shot ESPECIALLY under low-light conditions? My budget is under $250 and I would prefer a camera that takes SD.

The current camera I have is a Pentax point and shoot i bought in 2005 that is beginning to fail, but I bought it in Taiwan and it was not sold in the States so the model number is useless...
