Does anyone have any input on this camera? Pros and cons? Commentary from those with experience with the camera is particualry appreciated. Thanks

Yep, I have one of these cameras. As far as point and shoots go, it is pretty good...My only real complaint was that it really went through batteries..Once I got a couple of sets of rechargeable s, the camera is very fun...It is as close to a DSLR as you will get with out it being one..Is there anything specific you would like to know?.

Thank you so much for your answer here--I appreciate it very much. You have answered my main concerns with the Fuji. I was weighing whether or not to buy one and was wondering if it really was all it was advertised to be. For example, it had been referred to as the "closest thing to an SLR without being one." You have answered this for me. Does it also take SLR quality pictures? I tried clicking on your link below but could not find your name or pics.

Anyway, I am going up to Central and Northern Maine to hike, camp and photograph the Fall foliage next week. I could not wait any longer to make a decision on the Fuji. Unfortunately, I did not wait long enough to get a response at this forum, so I took the safe route out and picked up a new Canon IS3--I have used this camera and know what it can do. Thank you so much for answering!
