    Removing camera protection

I have recently purchased a Lumix DMC-FX150, which I connect to a Mac. On all other digital cameras I have ever used, I have always been used to being able to manage photos on the camera through the computer, e.g. deleting them, moving them off temporarily, then back, etc. I can't seem to do this on the FX150. I can't even rename the camera when it appears on the desktop, to stop it from being called 'NO NAME'. Does anyone know how I can do this, or is it not possible?

    Thanks

look through the menu on the camera, there should be an option called "USB Connection type", make sure it is set to 'Mass Storage Device'.

I always recommend using a card reader, not using the camera.
I find that way there are no problems with settings, and it usually works faster.

    Re: Removing camera protection

Did anyone EVER think of keeping their film photos ON their film camera? Maybe it's jus' 'cuz I work with computers MORE than with cameras, but I have always thought of the memory card as just a medium to transfer the pictures to the PC, and, I agree, the camera is too bulky to use as a card reader.
