Hi pals,

I just got a Canon 400D. So I think that as a beginner I'm good on that front for awhile.

Since I'm very ignorant when it comes to photography and cameras, I expected to be able to record videos with my new camera. Fortunately I did enough research in advance to learn the restrictions with an SLR (This forum was just incredible). I decided to go ahead with purchasing an SLR, and then supplement it with a decent digital point-and-shoot.

My budget is around $150, but it's flexible enough to go as high as $180, for instance. I was thinking of something like Canon Powershot series.

I want it to be able to record video. I'm not sure how realistic this is, but if I could also use it as a web cam that would make it a perfect choice.

I will appreciate all your comments, recommendations, and especially points to keep in mind when purchasing a point-and-shoot.
