nikon coolpix 4800 focus

Dose anyone know if the nikon coolpix 4800 can be set to manual focus or is there a manual focus workaround for this type of digital camera i've looked in the manual and looked for a firmware upgrade i can set almost everything manually except for focus the auto focus is terrible for sports shots.

The coolpix 4800 does have a Manual focus setting. Though I DL'ed the manual and i too can not find where it would tell you how to do it. My GF has a Canon A60 which is roughly equivalent to the 4800. I know that with her camera that you have to choose manual focus from the menu and the use 2 buttons on the back to focus.
