Need p&s with optical VF

I'm looking for a relatively compact p&s camera with an optical viewfinder for a friend. She has a Panasonic TZ3, but does not like using the LCD screen.

She has used and would prefer Canon and/or Panasonic just to make the learning curve simple. She is a p&s person and would not go for m4/3, etc.

Well then, Canon G series is an obvious choice.
Particularly since they'll work with the EX flashes.

I had the G9 and my friend indicated this was something way too complex for her. She is more inclined to shoot in auto - with a few exceptions. She wants the best she can get out of camera. And she isn't interested in the external flash. For some reason, she just prefers something with a VF vs LCD. :idea:

I checked out the PanasonicFZ35 which looks pretty good, but it's a bit large. I'm going to have her check the specs and photos.

Man that's a tough find.

The only other Canon is the SX20 IS, which is a little bigger then the already mentioned FZ35.
