    Need help with the camera

    Hi,
I am looking forward to buy a new camera but I am not sure which one to buy. So far I am interested in Nikon Coolpix S8100 but I also liked Canon SX210 IS. I am looking for a decent camera under $ 250 budget or a little higher. I am going to buy it from bestbuy for sure, It will be helpful if you guys can help me pick out one? or some other camera.

NOTE: I am going to use the camera for scenery pictures, sports and also casual picture taking. I want a camera one that will take a picture that stays in focus even for far as well as near objects(specially for close up pics). I don't really know much about shutter speed and A speed but would like to have decent speed for both.

    Thank you

Funny you should mention the Nikon Coolpix S8100. I've had one for review for a while now. Here's a link to my S8100 gallery:

A lot of those photos have a fair amount of post-processing. But the S8100 has excellent image quality and specs for a pocket superzoom. I just always try to squeeze the most out of my photos. Pocket superzooms are my favorite point-and-shoots right now, too. If you want some more options, check out my pocket superzoom camera guide - note that the Canon SX120 IS isn't listed in the guide. If you want to go Canon, I'd recommend the SD4500 IS. It's smaller and it has Canon's best compact camera image quality technology.

I hope that helps. If you're really into the S8100, I say just get it. But if you look through our pocket superzoom guide and come up with more questions, please don't hesitate to ask. I'll make sure you get the answers you need

I will suggest to have a look at Panasonic Lumix DMC-FZ35 nice zoom, manual control along with a video feature.
