    Name of a certain filter?

Hey, I have the Casio Exilim 7.2 Mega Pixel digital camera and I have a few questions about the filters. My sisters camera (don't know the name) has a filter that allows selective colors. What I mean is if you're wearing a pink shirt you can set it so just the shirt is pink and the rest is black and white. Does anybody know the name of this filter and if I can access it on my camera? Thanks a lot

Oh and I am new to this forum but it looks like this is the right place to be!

That's not really a "filter". A filter is a piece of glass that you attach to your camera that affects the image. That filter doesn't exist; rather, it's an effect. Some cameras have it, others don't. Look in an effects menu on your camera to see if you find something like it. With photoshop (even elements) it's quite possible to achieve the same effect albeit with much better quality. If you're interested, I can post the link.

I dont know a link, but it is really simple. Use the magic wand to select the entire shot, then magic wand deselect what you want to stay in color, then just desaturate the selection. The only sometimes tricky part is if there is soft contrast around the edges of your selection (for the wand). So some shots may be an easy 30 second fix, some may take hours, depends totally on the shot. You can also do it the other way around and get some interesting effects, here is one I did, its a much better method than having the camera do it for you.

This is probably the best way to do it since you have full control over what's color and what's not color. If you have any questions feel free to PM me.
