Looking For A Good Compact Camera, Need Help Deciding

I'm looking for a decent compact digital camera and the two cameras I'm considering now are the Canon Powershot SD1000 and Samsung NV15. The main things for me are good exposure, vibrant colors, low shutter lag, and fairly low amounts of noise. The noise issues for the NV15 is worrying me though, does anybody have one or know how much of an issue it is? Also, are there any other cameras in that price range I should be considering? Thanks.

I think Canon is better choice. And a recent deal about the SD1000 is only $149
