Basically, I love my Canon A610, but after four years, including a few falls thanks to my cat, it's faltering. I started researching potential replacements, and it seems that Canon has fallen behind on value. I was just wondering if prior A series users had discovered a stronger brand in a similar market, that is, budget conscious, but artistically minded consumers.

I am looking at about 200 dollars, which is what I got the A610 for. It was a great camera for me. It had great color depth, made great 8x10s, and had good options. But, it's breaking down, and I need a new camera, and I guess I'm looking for something very similar, but better, maybe allowing me to make larger prints. I welcome any recommendations.
