LCD Hood and Protector for Fuji S5100 (S5500) & other cameras.

This item is available for other cameras also.
Many of us have found out that our LCD screens are impossible to use in bright sunlight and are easy to damage. I have found a product that is made for many digital cameras. It is made by a company in Krakow Poland called Delta. And the web page is www.foto-tip.com .
This nifty little item is really a two in one product. It is a LCD protector and a LCD Hood. The LCD hood is in two parts a optical glass LCD protector that can be used by itself, or add the hood for sun visibility.
The adhesive that is used makes it possible to install and remove, but I don't think it is made to do this many times.

The Optical Glass Protector mounted on S5500.

The Hood mounted on the glass protector in closed position.

The Hood open in the sun block position.

The Hood open and showing the hood in detail.

Installation of the LCD Hood is very straight forward and simple.
    1. Clean your LCD with a soft microfibre cloth.
    2. Remove the plastic that protects the optical glass LCD protector.
    3. Remove the anti stick paper from the adhesive.
    4. Align the hood and press into place.
    5. To use the LCD glass protector by itself gently separate the hood at the top from the protector.
Clear instructions are provided by the mfg.

To use open the Hood is just a simple job of placing your nail under the bottom lip and pull forward. To close press the two sides towards the center and pull the hood down to lock.

I rate this product Five *****. Both for looks and build. Photos Courtesy of www.foto-tip.com
