    Question Help!

I'm not completely new to digital photography but I have no idea where to start. I love my Pentax ME Super but it's not as convenient for transfering images to my computer. I can't afford to keep getting film developed and then put onto CD!

What would you recommend for a newbie in digital photography? I want a similar level of functionality as my Pentax, with the ability to use new lenses etc...

I sincerely appologise, I never noticed the sticky when I posted. I tried to delete this post but couldn't.

    Sorry.

    :\

I'll post up a better idea of what I'm looking for after I've read through the reviews.

    No Problem

We'll be here to help when you figure out a little more about what you need.

For the full functionality of your Pentax SLR, you'd need to get a digital SLR. The Pentax digital SLR is nice - I've used it. YOu can read my Pentax *ist D review/test for here >>

The compromise is to get a high-end compact digital camera that allows you to use conversion lenses. Check reviews for 4-5 megapixel and above digital cameras. Some examples are the Canon G5, Olympus C-5060, Olympus C-8080, NIkon Coolpix 5700,l etc.

Hm, being new to digital photography I kinda underestimated costs etc just a little! I'm looking for something ?250 or < ?250 GBP. I know wont get the same level of functionality as my Pentax for that money, which is a shame but I'm not too heart broken. I know a Digital SLR is almost certainly out of the question. The ability to use alternative lenses would be very nice but not necessarily essential.

Decent quality images, portable, robust, cost efficient for my budget... I think budget is the governing factor here. Alas, I am but a poor student working a summer job. Woe is me!

    ;)

I'm thinking about the Olympus C-4000 Zoom . Although, I haven't decided yet.
