    Lightbulb Hello

Hi everyone! I am new to the forum. I have a canon power shot 2000 IS and I love it so far. However my shots of my dogs and cats have this awful yellow eye problem. Is there a setting to help with this? And where do I find it?
    Thanks in advance...

    Re: Hello

Welcome to the forum! The flash is whats causing it, you can force no flash and shoot for a higher ISO setting (400-800). You could set the mode to shutter priority (Tv) mode at 1/60th+, force flash off, and set ISO to auto, or you can try sports mode if thats too over your head. Hope that helps. It is basically just red eye, but it is almost impossible to remove it from dogs, whereas its easy with people.

    Re: Hello

If there is red-eye software, why isn't there green-eye or yellow-eye software ?

I can see that the usual anti-red eye flash settings wouldn't work, because their eyes have different sensitivity and the pupil and tapetum are different.
