G6 vs. S2 IS...

I am looking for a jobsite/personal camera to use. I have no aspirations to be a professional photographer. I think the additional zoom would be nice, but is there some reason, other than the increased megapixels to buy the G6?

Personaly, after reading what you have posted I would have to say that I think you would enjoy the S2 Is more than you would the G6. The G6 is meant more for the serious amature and pro shooters that want a nice compact diggicam to carry around with them at all times. Where as the S2 Is is aimed more at the casual "I just want a good camera that takes nice pictures" crowd.

Believe me when I say that those 2 extra Megapixels arn't going to make much, if any difference to you. I would buy the S2 Is and use the money I saved to buy a good memory card.
