I was able to download it and look at the exif data. Thanks again. I don't see how I will be disappointed with this camera.

Not very good. About 220 images from a fully charged one. I did find a replacement battery on ebay with charger for $15.00 that works equally as well, so I am ok now.

Well I received my camera. I really didn't get to use it much yet. I am reading through the book. I am all new to this so want to try and understand it some before I go shooting with it. I came from a pocket camera to this so its a big step. It seems very nice that is for sure. I want to ask you a few questions and would appreciate it very much if you could help answer them.

    1. I noticed that when the lens is at 28mm it sticks out some then goes back in at 35mm then of course continues to zoom out when you increase it all the way to 400mm. Does that seem right? (more so the 28 to 35 is what I am looking at)

    2. What is the PC-Sync interface do for you when it comes to an external flash? I guess what I am asking is what is the difrference between the hot shoe and pc-sync interface.

    3. What is a TTL flash vs. a non-TTL flash?

    4. If I but an external flash will it auto fire the flash when I press the shutter button since I would have to buy a non dedicated flash.

    Thanks for your help.

Hi folks..First, than you all who have sent me PM.s regarding this beast...So far I must emphazise that having taken some 1500 images so far with this beast, I have not seen any Purple fringe on any single one of my images shot with this ''FS100FS''

So far I have 2 complaints and neither one is a real huge problem for me, but may be for others...
    1) The autofocus is slow...But this is a bridge camera and I am used to the autofocus speed of my DSLR's so perhaps I am miss judging it...However, compared to My Canon G9, this fuji is on par with it as far as auto focus goes...

    2) The battery life is aweful...On a 1 gig card that I use, I basiaclly go through 2 batteries to fill a card for less than 400 images...Since it does not use AA batteries, it could pose a problem...I did find a replacement battery and car charger for it on eekbay for $15.00 so that was ok...

Aside from those two things I am really pleased with this...
I do have a Fuji S9100 and a Canon G9 and this s100FS is leaps ahead of the s9100 and slightly ahead of the G9.....imo
